How to Get the 600 Manat One-Time Allowance: Documents and E-social Registration
Who is eligible for the 600 AZN one-time childbirth allowance? What is proactive appointment? A complete guide on checking via E-social.az, required documents, and procedures for collecting the payment from the bank.

The arrival of a baby brings great joy to a home, but it also adds new expenses to the family budget. Cribs, strollers, diapers, clothes... The list goes on and on. Fortunately, the Azerbaijani state provides financial support to families for every newborn baby.
As you know, after the latest changes (from July 2025), the amount of the one-time allowance for the birth of a child has been set at 600 AZN. This amount is a significant help for parents to cover their expenses in the first months.
However, many parents are still afraid of bureaucratic procedures: "Where should I go?", "What documents should I collect?", "How will I get the money?".
The good news is that the system is now electronic, and the era of "paperwork" is behind us. Let's learn the easiest and shortest way to obtain this 600 AZN step-by-step.
To whom does this allowance apply?
Short answer: To everyone.
Regardless of the parents' employment status, income level, or social status, this allowance is paid for every child born and registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Condition: The child must be born alive and registered at the Ministry of Justice to receive a birth certificate (metrika).
What is "Proactive Appointment"? (No more waiting in lines!)
Previously, parents had to go to SES (DSMF) branches and write an application for the allowance. Now, the system works Proactively. That is, government agencies do everything automatically on your behalf.
The process works like this:
You obtain your baby's Birth Certificate from "ASAN Service" or "DOST" centers.
The Ministry of Justice immediately transfers the information to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population (DSMF) through the electronic system.
The system automatically assigns the allowance to the child.
An SMS notification is sent to the parent's phone number (usually the father or the person who performed the registration).
Step-by-Step Instructions: How to get the money?
Step 1: Documentation
When leaving the maternity hospital, you are given a "Medical certificate of birth". Take this paper and your identity cards (both father and mother) to ASAN Service or the registration department within 1 month.
Unmarried parents: If there is no official marriage, the father must participate for the recognition of paternity.
Step 2: Waiting for the SMS
After receiving the certificate, usually within a few days (sometimes a few hours), you will receive an SMS like this on your phone:
"Dear citizen, a one-time allowance of 600 AZN has been assigned to you for the birth of your child. You can obtain the funds with your ID card from any Kapital Bank branch."
Step 3: Approaching the Bank
After the SMS arrives, take your ID card and go to the bank mentioned in the SMS (usually Kapital Bank or ABB). The bank employee will provide you with the money in cash or via card.
What to do if the SMS didn't arrive? (E-social.az guide)
Sometimes there are delays in the system or the SMS doesn't reach you because your number hasn't been updated in the system. In this case, don't worry, you can check the status yourself.
Access the site: Go to the e-social.az portal.
Login: Enter your personal cabinet using "ASAN Login" or the FIN code of your ID card.
Section: Look at the "Applications" or "Social payments assigned to me" section.
Status: If it says "Assigned" there, it means the money is at the bank, the SMS just didn't arrive. You can go to the bank.
If there is no information in the system or if you receive a "Refusal," contact the 142 Call Center (DOST Agency).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
"Should the father or the mother receive the money?"
The allowance is transferred to the name of the parent who applies for the child's birth certificate and whose name is mentioned in the document. Usually, since the father does the documentation, the SMS goes to the father.
"Is there a time limit?"
Yes. You must apply for the one-time allowance (obtain a certificate) within 6 months from the date the child was born. If 6 months pass, the allowance may not be assigned.
"How much is given for twins?"
The allowance is given according to the number of children. For twins, you will receive 600 + 600 = 1200 AZN. For triplets, it is 1800 AZN.
"Do working mothers get extra money?"
Yes, in addition to this 600 manat, officially employed mothers receive a "Maternity and childbirth allowance" (Maternity pay). This amount is calculated based on the mother's salary and social insurance seniority and covers a 126-day leave. (You can calculate this with the "Maternity Calculator" in the Anacan app).
The 600 manat allowance is a wonderful "blessing" from the state to cover your baby's first needs (crib, quality food, or doctor's expenses).
The procedure has now become very simple. The only thing you have to do is go to ASAN Service on time (within 6 months) and get that little citizen's first document. The system will handle the rest.
May they grow up healthy!
